Need some inspiration for your holiday shopping?

Here are 16 of my fav items for people who love food and cooking—and refuse to fight the hordes in the outside world.

They’re all things that I either own and love—or they’re on my wishlist.

I’m an Amazon affiliate, which means I get a little cheese when you make a purchase. Many thanks to you for your support!

1. Betty Crocker’s Picture Cookbook

This is the one that I have, and hands down, it’s the cookbook I turn to first and use the most. Check out my vintage copy here, it’s the one I use to make my pumpkin pie.

2. Le Creuset 7 1/4 Quart Enameled Dutch Oven

I’ve had one of these for almost two decades. It’s my go-to pot for braising and soups. See how it performs here.

3. Lodge 6-Quart Dutch Oven

I also have one of these. It’s a much newer addition to the family, but it’s AWESOME. Check out my test of Lodge vs. Le Creuset here.

4. Large End Grain Bamboo Cutting Board

I love my bamboo cutting board. It’s super strong, easy to clean, and has held up really well over the years. If I ever needed another, I’d grab this one.

5. KitchenAid Professional 6-Quart Stand Mixer

This is the mixer I have, and I can’t say enough about it. It makes quick work of egg whites and whipped cream, and is tough enough to handle stiff bread dough. Total workhorse for anyone who cooks and bakes a lot.

6. KitchenAid 5-Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer

And this one is great if you don’t have the real estate on the counter for a stand mixer, or just want to beat a few eggs up quickly. And I believe you can find it in a bunch of different colors if this lovely minty green isn’t your thing.

7. 3 Piece Ceramic Mixing Bowl Set

I’m absolutely in love with these colors! And the fact that they nest means they won’t gobble up cabinet space when you store them.

8. Breville Juice Fountain Plus

I have one of these juicers and absolutely love it. It’s tough enough to pulverize woody ginger root. (For real.) Check out my detailed review here.

9. Cuisinart Stainless 16-Inch Roasting Pan with Rack

A good roasting pan is such a kitchen staple. This one is solidly constructed with a great curved rack for that big holiday roast.

10. Bialetti 6-Cup Stovetop Espresso Maker

I also have one of these, and it makes some of the best espresso I’ve ever had. Check out my review and learn how easy it is to brew espresso at home on the stove, without a fancy machine.

11. Shun 8-Inch Chef’s Knife

I’ve been drooling over these knives for years. They’re so well made, not to mention easy on the eyes.

12. Vitamix 2-Speed Blender (Certified Refurbished)

So, here’s something I learned today: You can buy a Vitamix blender CERTIFIED REFURBISHED on Amazon. They’re still not cheap, but they’re a lot less than the brand spanking new ones. I had NO idea, and now I know what I want for Christmas this year. (Hint, hint, my dear Angry Chef!)

13. 6-Quart Crock-Pot Slow Cooker (WiFi Enabled)

I’ve been after a slow cooker for a while now, but haven’t managed to find one that makes me want to pull the trigger. This one is really interesting, because you can control it from your phone while you’re away from home (including turning it on and off). Kinda cool.

14. Bron Original Stainless Steel Mandolin Slicer

Use this baby to make thin, crispy potato and veggie chips like this at home. That big, swanky guard on top will help keep your fingertips nice and safe (and attached to your hand).

15. Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker

This is the one we used to write our ice cream cookbook, Slushed! It’s a total beast. (I actually have 2 of them, don’t tell, ok?) My pair stood up to making hundreds of quarts of ice cream during recipe testing. Grab one and use it to make our house favs, including Guinness Stout Ice Cream and Triple Chocolate Ice Cream.

16. Our Ice Cream and Frozen Treat Cookbook

Speaking of which, here’s our cookbook! If you’ve always wanted to make ice cream at home, let me tell you: It’s so easy once you learn the basic technique. I outline it in dozens of super simple, easy-to-understand recipes. (And, did I mention that they’re all infused with booze?)
