  1. Favorite food in the whole world is probably sweet potatoes, since I eat them daily. They're nourishing, vibrant orange, and great when served in a variety of ways. And they can also be handy for the food processor, to make purees and other delicious recipes.
  2. The number one food is hard, but the food that ALWAYS makes it to the top 3 no matter what I'm currently obsessed with is tomato soup, preferably with cheese toasts.
  3. wow - favorite food in the whole world?? I would have to say chicken fingers. All kinds: homemade, commercial, restaurant style.
  4. My favorite food are avocados. Just typing this makes me wish I had some to eat. Delicious with almost anything, they liven up meals and contain essential fats. MMM
  5. I can't think of one favorite. But I would happily eat soup for every meal, every day. I love soups, stews and other saucy comfort type foods.
  6. My favorite food.......narrowing that down is harder then one would think. I'm going to have to go with fresh baked bread. Especially when it's still warm from baking and slathered in butter!! :)
  7. My favorite food is brussell sprouts! Strange I know but they are so good on the grill. I'm always looking for new ways to prepare them!
  8. Salt. Oh yes, salt. Once used as currency and to mummify kings, I would perish (literally) without my NaCl. It brings out the flavor in everything from potatoes to chocolate to my morning bloody mary. I could eat olives and pickles and salty fries all day into the night, and while my blood pressure may smack me upside the head, my mouth and tummy would be in blissful heaven.
  9. Considering what an absurd amount of it we go through in our house, I'm fairly certain my favorite food is CHEESE. It comes in so many different varieties, can be used so many different ways, and it is also Beloved of Mice. Yea, verily. Cheese for the win.
  10. Cheddar-cheesy scalloped potatoes! They're the ultimate winter put-meat-on-yer-bones side - my mom makes them every Christmas and adds a generous helping of scallions and bacon bits.
  11. My favorite food is roast pork shoulder. Let me count the ways: BBQ for pulled pork, in La Caja China for cuban style, Pernil, porc confit and spanish-style suckling pig! It has fantastically meaty texture inside, crackling skin outside, makes wherever you're cooking it smell fantastic and gets no short shrift as leftovers.
  12. I'd have to say my favorite food is Mexican Food; Tacos, Quesadillas, Guacamole, Nachos, refried beans... I've never had an electric food processor, so I'd be thrilled to win!! Thanks for the giveaway.
  13. Best food in the whole world: blueberry pancakes. There is nothing like a brunch with a short stack of blueberry pancakes, with bacon and eggs.
  14. My favorite food is potatoes. You can eat them at every meal or just make a meal around them. When all else fails mashed potatoes are the best comfort food ever. Thanks for a great contest!
  15. I never seem to have just ONE favorite, but my favorite at the moment is the Pad Thai at this little Thai restaurant near me. For stuff I make myself, it's gumbo. :)
  16. I had a really hard time with this one. I would say Chili would probably have to top the list....or an amazing steak....or green beans....no, no, definitely chili...maybe...
  17. My favorite food in the whole world, is my mothers homemade chicken pot-pie. Its filled with carrots, celery, onion, peas, and (obviously) chicken. The gravy is wonderful, but the most incredible part is her crust. A perfectly moist, yet crispy, lightly spiced crust, that she has been perfecting my whole life. Nobody I know comes close.
  18. OMG, I am in love w/ this food processor! I actually asked for it for xmas and didn't think I'd get it, so I really hope I win it! My fav food is tamales. omg, I love tamales. spicy pork corn yumminess!!!
  19. (¯`'•.¸♥♫♥ A nice moist, thick, ChEeSeCaKe BrOwNiE! Mmmmmmm! ♥♫♥¸.•'`¯) ***Thank you & Happy Holidays to everyone!*** =)
  20. Bacon of course. I'm surprised to not see more bacon lovers, btw. They're probably out enjoying breakfast first and will stop by later.
  21. My favourite food is..... cheese, or bananas. I spent maybe an entire year as a kid eating only those two things. And milk, wholegrain bread, and very few other things). Still not sick of them - still love anything with either of those things in it!
  22. Hrm. First idea was to go with Fried Chicken. But that was way way way too easy. There are really two things that I miss the most since I've quit the high carb parade. One is french toast (oddly, more complicated and more flexible than you would think) the other is risotto. My vote is for risotto. Perfect for winter.
  23. Oh no, I can only choose one?! How to choose between bacon, potatoes, or cheese?! It's like picking a favorite child! I think that's why potato skins exist- for those of us who can't choose.
  24. My favorite food in the whole world would have to be ice cream. i really love the frozen goodness of milk, sugar and chocolate mixed together. i can eat it anytime of year - even on the coldest days (that's when the hot fudge on top makes it oh so good!) yes. ice cream. woo hoo.
  25. My favorite food is, without a doubt, chocolate. There's really no contest. Would LOVE to win this -- my current food processor is a $12 model that's likely to combust at any moment. :)
  26. My favorite food in the whole wide world is a Korean dish, bibimbap! Rice topped with a variety of seasoned veggies and fried egg. It's the best and I could eat this everyday for the rest of my life!
  27. I'm going to have to go with clams. Clams on the half shell, clam chowder, pasta with white clam sauce, steamed clams, bakes clams. I mean really, clams are the best no matter how they are prepared.
  28. My favorite is Shirin polow, sweet saffron rice. I get it at this restaurant that uses grated carrots, orange peel, almonds, barberries (love the sourness) and pistachios. It's more of a vehicle food that goes well with other stuff. I just love fruits and nuts in my meals.
  29. Hmm...that's a tough one. Since it's all cold and chilly here, I have to say soup, specially seafood soup. Also, l'll have some chewy brownie, please! Thank you. :)
  30. Is there anything that doesn't taste better with pumpkin added? (I say this as I'm drinking a large pumpkin spice coffee. . . )
  31. sooooooooo i'm going to fudge a bit but really my most favorite food of the moment is moroccan. i just can't get enough of that seasoning. mmmm...marinated lamb or chicken or shrimp grilled on maybe simmered in a tagine. the entire house smells like perfume. exotic and warm on a cold wintry day.
  32. Oh gosh, that is a tough one. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all things Mexican, but if I had to pick ONE THING, it would have to be Carnitas. Mmmmmmm...oh, and that Food Processor is totally on my Christmas list! So, you would reaaallllly be doing my husband a favor!
  33. I absolutely adore mac and cheese. I can never quite overcome the childhood nostalgia that propels me towards this dish. Though I was raised on the Kraft variety, I have definitely changed my tastes to the homemade variety.
  34. I definately have many foods I absolutely love, but being a Louisiana Boy I would have to say that my "go to" food is Gumbo. Try south central Louisiana dark roux gumbo.
  35. Bread. Good, thick, makes-wonderful-toast, whole-grain, crunchy crust, soft crumb bread. A slice of that bread with butter, or with jam, or with cheese, or just on its own. Delicious, high quality bread. Mmmm . . . it's the simple things in life. :D
  36. Difficult to narrow this down but I would have to say figs. I love to pull them straight off the tree when they are heavy with purple. I could eat my weight in them, enjoying progressively more each bite.
  37. Ribeyes, New York strip, t-bones... basically any thick cut, grass-fed beef. Grilled. Oops...started drooling! Thanks for a great giveaway.
  38. Tough to choose amongst chocolate, a filet mignon cooked to perfection, pomegranate seeds at the height of ripeness, and many others...but I'll choose the perfect croissant as my favorite.
  39. My favorite food is probably eggnog with ginger cookies :) Tasty! That or my mom's candy cane cookies, I'm going to have to make some with the homemade vanilla extract I made!
  40. it sounds cheesy, but i love anything my mother makes, but far and away? her traditional celebration breakfast. it consists of a rich coconut milk rice, spicy chili onions with lime juice, and a tomato curry that is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. sometimes i add a sour grilled tuna chunk to it, just for extra deliciousness. if i had to pick just one component of it, it'd be the coconut milk rice. tastes great warm, but is absolutely delicious cold. (and she makes killer lentil fritters with her cuisinart.)
  41. My favorite food in the whole wide world is...wait for it... Butternut squash! omg it's sooooo amazing! And so easy to prepare any way you want. You can just stick that sucker in the oven and it's bloody delicious. Annnnnnd nutritious!
  42. Favorite food, ah there are sooo many. Superior Dairy Ice Cream.. any flavor..pumpkin cheesecake, cioppino, albacore tataki & great ravoli, meatballs with marinara.. yum..
  43. Hello There Miss Jessie! Okay... this is a two-fold answer. Food could also be called cuisine... in that case, my favourite cuisine is Italian fare. BUT... if you mean a single food item, that I could eat day in and day out and never tire of, it would have to be, hands down, The Lobster! rawr rawr rawr!
  44. My all time favorite food is spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread of course! It's been my favorite since I was a tiny, little kiddo and still is to this day.
  45. My favorite food is chickpeas. They can be easily sprouted, and then made into high-energy hummus, chana masala and any number of other delectable delights.
  46. My favorite food is my late mother's mashed potato donuts. I am not a huge cake fan (especially icing) {sacrilege, I know!} so my mother would make her mashed potato donuts for me instead of a birthday cake. That was the only time she would make them, so they were that much more special to me. She finally gave me the recipe about a year before she passed away. I know now why she wouldn't make them more often - it takes forever to deep fry the whole batch! This is such a fantastic giveaway, Jessie! I have a little one-cup food processor, but would love a Cuisinart. Thanks for the chance. Have a great time in New York City.
  47. Oh boy, that's a hard one. I count at least five soups I make and eat with huge delight all the time. Fish, if I had a good fishmonger here in rural New Hampshire. Fresh bread with unsalted butter. Spinach. But my favorite? Thick cut BACON.
  48. There is nothing better than a loaf of fresh bread hot out of the oven, especially french bread. And it pairs perfectly with my second favorite food: peanut butter!!!
  49. my favorite food is spaghetti. true story: i had colic for 9 months as an infant and the only thing that would make me stop screaming was to look at dry spaghetti noodles while being bathed in the sink. i have photos to prove it!
  50. my favorite food is the oh-my-god brownie at my local cafe in Corvallis. Rich and thick and chocolaty, with a delightful bit of crunch on top but then the middle just dissolves into a sensorium overload from the goings-on in your mouth. This brownie makes you close your eyes and think of things sensual and other-worldly. It's just about the most fun you can have with your mouth legally in public.
  51. Cheese. Any cheese. The variety is endless. The You can explore the entire world from the safety of a good cheese plate. Well, maybe not so safely if you're lactose intolerant.
  52. I would have to say my late step-dad's lasagna! As a kid, I remember the recipe stayed in his pocket, was never shared & only my sister & I were allowed to help make this delite! & as we helped he'd tell us how he used to be an assistant to a chef on the santa cruz, california warf!! To this day my sister & I are the only ones with the recipe, & if someone wants lasagna we tell them what the cost is, so we can buy & makes the recipe for them! It was the promise we had to make in order to have the recipe! My heart skips everytime I make it!
  53. OMGosh, I can not, no I refuse to pick just one! Well I guess if I have to it would be fresh bread, no.....cheese, no.....pizza, no.....chili, no.....crab, no.....pork, no........Asian, no.....dang this is impossible! Hmmmmm If I was stranded on a dessert Island, I would have to have bread, I'm back to fresh baked bread.(sourdough to be specific) Crusty on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. Or maybe.....................Great giveaway, thanks!!!
  54. My favorite food? It is soooooo hard to pick just one as it changes with the season, but since I have to pick just one I'll pick the one I get to have least: a perfectly ripe, perfectly peeled, juicy, luscious, aromatic fresh mango.
  55. There's no better food in the world than my mum's famous German apple pie. Fresh out of the oven served with hot vanilla sauce or ice-cream it's the sort of food I'd kill for!
  56. Favorite has to be either brownies with cream cheese icing or really saucy, greasy, fried buffalo chicken wings. There's a soft spot in my heart, and I guess my veins, for them!
  57. I would have to say Dirt Cake: You know, with the cream cheese, instant pudding, whipped cream all mixed together and layered with crushed Oreos...I'm gaining 5 pounds just fantasizing about a bowl of this. I think maybe I could eat an entire batch of it!
  58. My favorite food probably has to be pickles...I love them! They are good anytime and fulfill that sweet or salty craving. Thanks for the chance at winning.
  59. Tough one, after a little thought my favorite food is Kerala Sadya or Kerala's flavorful veggie palette which includes around 15-20 dishes, for recipes chk my blog: http://thasneen.com/cooking/sadya-or-keralas-flavorful-veggie-palatte/
  60. My favorite food is Bread - crusty sourdough, sweet cinnamon rolls, flaky croissants, buttery biscuits. The list could go on and on and on!
  61. so, so hard to pick just one, but i probably couldn't live without a spicy chicken tortilla soup...and i am not generally a soup person.
  62. My favorite food is probably avocados... I eat them on EVERYTHING or sometimes just by themselves. Right now my favorite thing to put them on is Eggs Benedict. I eat that for breakfast at least once a week. So good!
  63. Hard to pick a favorite FOOD...but my favorite genre of food is Vietnamese. i'm such a fan of all the combinations of textures and all of the fresh herbs and flavors.
  64. Oh man, I don't know how to answer this one!! Portabello mushrooms is at the top. It definitely influences what I order at the restaurants if it's listed as an ingredient.
  65. My favorite food in the whole wide world? I haven't tried enough food in the world to sufficiently be sure of this answer, BUT so far the best food I've ever had is fried sparrow. That was not a spelling erro, no typos, and it's not a joke. The past summer I spent 17 days travelling up and down China. One of the many street foods there includes fried sparrow which I tried in Guilin(it's cheap, it's got lots of protein, and the little suckers taste damn good!). They deep fry them fresh to order, four to a stick, and then they roll them in some spicy rub. It was so good that after China, I premanently ended my previous four years of vegetarianism which I had decided to put on hold for the trip.
  66. Soooo difficult to pick one, so I'm picking a few: cheese, pork, smashed potatoes w/ butter and garlic, avocados and yellowtail sushi.
  67. My favorite food is soft-poached chicken on white rice with a ginger-scallion oil. To me, my mom (Mary) makes the best 'bok jom gai' in the world.
  68. Nothing beats my homemade salsa- made with vegetables I grew all summer long! It's a long wait for those tomatoes to turn red, but well worth it!
  69. For splurges, my favorite food is Maine Lobster! Everyday, it happens to be potatoes. Thank you for a great give-away. Hope cookbook does well. Love your sense of humor.
  70. What’s your favorite food in the whole world? I'd say it's a tie, between Annie's Macaroni and Cheese, and my own Veal Rollotini. The first, because mac'n'cheese is the first thing I ever learned how to make, and specifically this brand is great if you have food allergies like me. The second, because I lovelovelove pounding out the veal by hand - so fun! Plus, the end product is delicious, if I may say so. :)
  71. My favorite food..well this is really a spice but..anything with curry is a win with me. Tikka masala (YUM), green curry, which is sweet with a nice kick, and red curry, are all amazing. I think curry could probably go well with anything, it adds a nice warmth, which is super yummy! =)
  72. i have way too many favorites, but today, i'll say salmon. i adore how lovely and smooth it is cold and raw, the flakiness it has when it's cooked rare, and how wonderfully melt-in-your mouth it becomes as a base for a shallot and butter sauce when well done.
  73. Favorite foods...chocolate and pizza. I know, classy huh? Ironically, I've never been a fan of dessert pizza, but perhaps the mouse house could change my mind...
  74. Has to be slow-cooked sauerkraut with a little bit of brown sugar and roasted pork butt with mashed potatoes. True comfort food for me.
  75. My favorite food......carne asada tacos. the ones you can find from the little taco trucks around town. they make their corn tortillas from scratch and they are so yummy. Oh and they have some sort of spicy creamy green sauce too. wish i knew what it was. I'd eat it all by itself its so good.
  76. My favorite food is a "Vegetarian Reuben" that I started having the deli next to my building make for me in New York a few years back. Rye bread, Thousand Island dressing, swiss cheese, sauerkraut and tomatoes (instead of meat). A must try!
  77. i would have to say my favorite food in the whole world is my grandmother's potato gnocchi, which i discovered later in life were not supposed to be so hard. little pillows of air? not even close, but i wouldn't trade them for anything in the world.
  78. My favorite food in the whole world....hmmm...it would be easy to say chocolate. In fact, that was what I was going to say at first. And then I realized that although my favorite food does indeed contain chocolate, it's more than that. When I was a little girl, my grandfather used to buy chocolate covered crackers (they looked like little fingers of white flaky cracker covered in milk, dark and white chocolate). He got them at Russo's on Route 1 in Saugus and he usually got them at Christmas. We'd share them and discuss which flavors we liked best. I tended to like the dark, he went for the milk. He bought me chocolate crackers every year for Christmas after that - always his special gift just from him to me. When he was too ill to buy them for me my grandmother took over and she kept it up till she died about 7 years ago. And in the spirit of being a great friend, one of my oldest ones who knew about my little tradition has kept buying them for me ever since. So beyond the chocolate which of course I love is this decades-old tradition of me getting chocolate crackers from my nearest and dearest for Christmas.
  79. My favorite food is CURRY, particularly Japanese-style curry. When I was a kid, my Mom would cook it using those curry packs from House, carefully breaking the brick in half and saving the other half for later. Only later did I find out that you were supposed to use the WHOLE BRICK to make a delicious creamy stew! I also remember these delicious curry-filled pastries. Delicately baked and glazed, they were half-moon bundles of flaky-crusted curry-filled goodness. There's a variation of this I've had that is essentially a curry-filled donut; I used to see these sometimes at Porter Exchange in Cambridge, MA. A few years ago I also had the opportunity to visit one of House Curry's official restaurants in Irvine, California, where I could order a Curry Katsudon Plate with a Curry Croquette on the side. Mmm. Sadly, I tend not to make curry these days because I will eat the ENTIRE POT. It doesn't matter how much I make. It's pretty much going to be gone unless I invite some friends over or family is visiting.
  80. oh god! i was so waiting for this prize to come up so i could enter, but that's a pretty hard question! lol, i love all food pretty much. i love any type of potato in all of its forms, and my current favorite food i would have to say is mussels. i went a long part of my life without eating them, and i've never ventured to cook them myself, but now i crave them all the time, and love going to a good italian or seafood place to get my fix. growing up in rhode island, i'm totally a seafood/shellfish girl!
  81. Thanks for this great giveaway! This would be awesome for my tiny little kitchen. My favorite food is avacado...or wait, maybe sushi...or pizza. Darn! It's so hard to decide. OK, I'm going with sushi. I better submit this before I change my mind again.
  82. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh.. I would have to say at the moment its any yeast bread... there's nothing quite like it... awesome about the giveaway! Peace, LeeYong
  83. My favorite food is a three-way tie between Baklava, lemon bars, and this amazing butternut squash lasagna my wife makes. Wait -- beer doesn't count as a food, right? Also, my captcha for this comment? "tonguing times". Awesome.
  84. I would have to say meatballs! Yes, I love meatballs of all kinds! And I could make them even better with this prize if I win! kristinpotpie@yahoo.com
  85. My favorite food is PASTA! So many different varieties and ways of cooking it... I could eat it every single day and never tire of it!
  86. My favorite food in the entire world is real mashed potatoes, with freshly made gravy. Don't care if it's turkey, chicken, beef or cream gravy, just gimme gravy.
  87. I have to go with cheese; the ultimate comfort food. I could totally be vegan if it were not for this! I have been able to give it up for short periods of time but tres dificile.
  88. Favorite Food? Without categories?!?! Desert. Chocolate. Otherwise I would have to say shrimp. Marinated in hot sauce, hoisen sauce, or Worcestershire sauce then lightly smoked on the grill. Or steamed with Old Bay (Yep, I'm in Maryland!) or scampi, or... OK, I'll stop.
  89. My favorite food is Mac 'n Cheese. Not the boxed kind, which is yucky. There are so many variations on this simple comfort food, it never gets old.
  90. bistec empanisado con frijoles negros y platanos frito... translation: breaded steak, black beans and rice and fried plantains... YUM!
  91. My favorite food has to be bread. I love all varieties and I could eat tons of it every day. I'm currently debating between whole wheat toast and Nutella and pita and garlic hummus for an after-work snack. Honestly, I've never met a carbohydrate I didn't like.
  92. MY favorite food in the whole world is anything that comes off my Big Green Egg smoker. This year's Thanksgiving turkey was probably the best thing I've ever eaten. 12 hours in a citrus/chili brine, followed by an eight-hour air dry in the fridge, Pavo al Horno rub, and a little mesquite on the charcoal. Excellent!
  93. probably my mom's chicken pot pie. She makes it in a casserole dish with biscuits ontop as the crust. ALWAYS hits the spot- although the past few times I've requested it while visiting I've ended up missing it! (going out the night it's served- my brother and sister have friends over = boom, no leftovers!)
  94. Rugelach. A recipe my family was given from a neighbor in the 1960s was called "cream cheese dreams", and I've loved the many variations of (what turned out to be) rugelach cookies ever since.
  95. Soup n. sammitches. Which includes anything from Campbell's Tomato with white bread and velveeta grilled cheese to homemade tomato bisque and muffalettas (extra bonus points for green olives).
  96. It's a combination of French bread topped with goat cheese, tapenade and roasted red peppers. I could it eat all day, every day! What a fantastic giveaway!
  97. Ahoy! This contest is now closed. Thanks so much to everyone who entered! We'll pick a winner later today and announce who it is tonight. Don't forget to come back next week and enter to win the Vita-Mix blender! Cheers! +Jessie
